*Begin researching key suppliers - including your ideal venue, planner & photographer
*Decide on your wedding vision - what exactly will it look like?

Remember to enjoy the process, it’s such an exciting time & you’re going to have a fantastic journey.

The Chestnut Tree open mic and jam night last week 🎤🎸

In an ideal world I would have some musical talent of my own, and I wouldn’t be tone-deaf 😂
But none of this stops me from enjoying live music and capturing some of the action!

I really enjoy the grainy look of black and white when shooting in dark venues like this 📸

The open mic and jam night simply encourages budding performers to play songs of their choice to friends, family & other pub-goers.

The organiser Nigel (in the middle of the first photo) did a convincing Noddy Holder impression, although I suspect his vocal cords may take a while to recover from that effort!

The guys played a range of Christmas favourites along with other blues, rock and pop covers - and plenty of improvisation. Crucially the mood of the night was friendly & encouraging. A talented bunch and a lovely, festive atmosphere 🧑‍🎄🎄🎶

The bride’s granddaughter (also the flower girl and ring-bearer) is being offered a friendly hand by her Mum.
A young lad with autism - who was feeling overwhelmed by the whole occasion - is being comforted by his dad & the groom.
And out of shot (left of camera) someone has made a joke about the bride & groom’s entrance…

I love using a wide lens as it allows me to capture more of the scene happening in front of me 📸
